Thomas Tuchel happy after Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski comment ahead transfer link to Chelsea
The 32-year-old Poland international has repeatedly been linked with a move away from Bundesliga Champions with Real Madrid and Manchester City mooted as potential suitors.
Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel is currently in the transfer market in search of a new striker after Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham failed to impress the German tactician, while Olivier Giroud has left Stamford Bridge for AC Milan.
The current Champions League holders are willing to spend big after approaching to sign Erling Haaland this summer but Borussia Dortmund has unsurprisingly reluctant to lose him, especially when they are on the cusp of losing Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
According to Football London claim that Chelsea is seemingly keeping their options open after turning their attention to a big-money move for Lewandowski with it being claimed that the club is considering a £50million deal.
The Polish striker has already admitted that his desire to test himself in England because it would be a “great experience.”
Lewandowski is under contract until 2023 and Bayern will fight to keep hold of the club’s number nine star, who last season broke Gerd Miller’s record of Bundesliga goals scored in a single campaign.
