Chelsea ace Billy Gilmour is set for a move to Norwich in a bid to continue his development plan, according to the report in England.

Gilmour joined Chelsea in 2017 from Ranger but he is yet to secure a regular spot in the starting XI in the Blues lineup, though he was handed some chances under former manager Frank Lampard.

Gilmour’s performance for the Chelsea youth team was impressive and he has some opportunities with the senior team but he still needs to development and regular game time will help his course.

The arrival of Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge though, Gilmour found his game time very limited.

The 20-year-old did not feature in the Champions League under Tuchel and had to wait until May to be handed his first league start under the German.

Tuchel also opted against using Gilmour in the latter stages of the 2020/21 FA Cup.

The newly-promoted Premier League team is keen on signing the Scottish midfielder on a loan deal, an arrangement that suits both clubs.
