Nigerian descent Bukayo Saka has reacted after winning the man of the match award in England 1-0 victory over Czech Republic in the final Group D in the ongoing Euro 2020.
The 19-year-old Arsenal star had been overlooked by Gareth Southgate for both matches against Scotland and Croatia before he was handed a starting spot at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night.
Saka justified his selection by having a key role in the build-up to England’s winning goal with one such burst from midfield, while his subsequent diversionary run made space for Raheem Sterling to nod in at the back post while unmarked.
The Nigerian descent performance saw him named man of the match as he took his Instagram handle to celebrate the award.
