Arsenal is set to get their prime target for a cut down price after his team failed to qualify for the next season Champions League football.
Arsenal directors are of the view that they can get Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar for a reduced price, the report in the Sun claimed that Arsenal was priced out from the deal to sign the midfielder last summer – with Lyon demanding up to £55m.
Lyon’s failure to qualify for Champions League football has affected the value of the 22-year-old Frenchman, the midfielder will cost as little as £20m – a figure well within the North London club’s price range.
The London based club is willing to offer a contract worth £100k-a-week to lure the midfielder to the Emirates at the second time of asking.
Aouar scored eight goals and laid four assists last season for Lyon and has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool also eyeing the French international.
