Liverpool is prepared to beat Real Madrid to the signing of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Florian Neuhaus, according to the report.
Liverpool is keen on replacing Dutch midfielder Gini Wijnaldum who joined Paris Saint-Germain last week with the signing of the German star Neuhaus.
Liverpool has met Neuhaus’ representatives regarding a summer move with Sport1 reporting the Reds a “very interesting option” for the 24-year-old.
Neuhaus is open to a move to Anfield, though any final decision won’t be made until after Germany’s Euros campaign.
Real Madrid is also interested in the signing of the 24-year-old star, Neuhaus has a buyout clause of €40m a valuation that is not too high for a player of his type considering the present-day transfer market.
Real Madrid is also interested in the signing of Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan and the Bernabeu club is open to the sale of Isco, Martin Odegaard and Marco Asensio.
