Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is willing to move back to Spain following his exploits with the Premier League Champions.
The former Athletic Bilbao defender moved to Manchester City in 2018 but the centre back is willing to make a move back to Spain, this time he wants either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid, according to a report in El Confidencial.
The Spanish defender was linked with a move to Barcelona but he prefers a move to the city of Madrid either to join forces with Carlo Ancelotti’s men or Diego Simeone’s team.
A confidant close to Laporte said: “He wants to come to Madrid and it doesn’t matter if it’s Real or Atlético.
“His new status as a Spain international prompted him to make the decision to sign for one of the teams in the capital.”
Real Madrid is preparing for a life with Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane with Jules Kounde and Pau Torress linked with a move to the Spanish giant.
