Spanish manager Luis Enrique has explained why Real Madrid players were left out from the Euro 2020 squad.
Enrique announced his 24-man squad for the summer Championship next month with no Real Madrid players in the list including Sergio Ramos.
The Real Madrid captain has been hindered by lots of injuries and he only played five games this year, mainly due to re-occurring injuries which is the main reason he was exempted.
Ramos suffered his first main injury during his international call up for Spain and since then the skipper has been going from one treatment table to another.
Ramos was rushed back in the clash against Chelsea in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge but the centre back performed below par with manager Zinedine Zidane having himself to blame for fielding three unfit players, Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy and Ramos.
Enrique also dropped the likes of Nacho, Isco, Marco Asensio due to fitness concern while Lucas Vazquez and Dani Carvajal were omitted as a result of injury setback.
