Nigerian stars Calvin Ughelumba Bassey and Adedapo Awokoya-Mebude plus three other Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun Rangers teammate appeal dismissed after coronavirus breach.
The Nigerian duo joined Bongani Zungu, Nathan Patterson and Brian Kinnear were all charged after breaking lockdown rules to attending a house party in Glasgow before broken up by police in February.
Bassey, Mebude, Zungu, Patterson and Kinnear were handed a six-game ban, two of which were suspended until the end of the season by Scottish FA but newly league champions Rangers contested the bans.
However, an independent appellate tribunal has upheld the punishments which mean the Nigerian duo of Bassey and Mebude plus the three others of Zungu, Patterson and Kinnear will serve their punishment as Steven Gerrard side remain disappointed in the result via the club Twitter handle and website.

The players were fined by the club following the incident and this is the second time this season that Rangers stars have serve the punishment after attacker Jordan Jones and defender George Edmundson were banned by the club for two weeks for attending an illegal house party and each served seven-game suspensions by the SFA for Covid-19 related breaches.
Bassey, Mebude, Zungu, Patterson and Kinnear will miss the Scottish FA Cup quarter-final clash against St Johnstone Football Club at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday.
