Real Madrid star Luka Modric has agreed to a new deal at the Santiago Bernabeu for the next season.
Modric has settled for a contract that would see him tied to Real Madrid till 2022, An announcement of the details of the deal is expected to be made.
The contract extension will the Croatian star play for ten seasons in the capital city club after he joined Tottenham in 2012.
Real Madrid paid €35m for his services and he has become one of the best midfielders in the world having won the Ballon d’Or award in 2018 following his spectacular display at the World Cup in Russia.
Modric has made a total appearance of383 for the La Liga giants, he scored 26 goals and provided 61 assists for the Los Blancos.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star was part of the team that won three consecutive Champions League trophy under the management of Zinedine Zidane.
Modric is vital to Zidane’s midfield set up along with Toni Kroos and Casemiro over the years and the gaffer has always counted on the midfielder in top matches when the demands are extremely high like the Champions League nights.
