Porto show Juventus the exit door
Juventus was shown the exit door in the Champions League second round by FC Porto on Tuesday evening with a late strike by Sergio Oliveira.
FC Porto was shown a red card in the first half, though the game ended in 3-2 on aggregate with the tie ending 2-1 in favour of the Old Ladies, Federico Chiesa scored a brace for Juventus but it was not enough to seal qualification for the home team.
FC Porto qualified on away goal rule, following Oliveira’s long-range free kick in the 117th minute of the clash.
Former Real Madrid defender Pepe made a deep block the prevent Chiesa from settling the game in the second half of the clash.
Juventus will have to wait for the coming season to play in the Champions League again after the Italian was sent packing by FC Porto.
Borussia Dortmund vs Sevilla
Haaland sends Borussia Dortmund to quarterfinals
Erling Braut Haaland scored a brace in the 2-2 draw against Sevilla to send Borussia Dortmund to the quarterfinals of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Haaland helped Dortmund to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League on 5-4 aggregate.
Dortmund went in front with a 2-0 lead but the German team allowed Sevilla to crawl back into the game with Haaland losing from the spot-kick and Sevilla scoring in the last minute of the second half to make it 2-2, thanks to Youssef En Nesyri who came off from the bench to score a brace.
