It was another weekend Nigerian players made their marks across different European and Africa competitions.
Topping the Nigeria team of the week are Dele Aiyenugba, Kenneth Omeruo, Olanrewaju Kayode, Abdullahi Shehu and Peter Olayinka.
Dele Aiyenugba – Kwara United
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper making the team of the week for the third consecutive time after helping Kwara United to beat Sunshine Stars at Akure Township Stadium on Sunday.
Aiyeugba makes a vital save in the 68th minutes of the encounter after a shot from Fuad Ekelojuoti before Stephen Jude secured the three-point for Afonja Warrior when he scored a lovely goal 12 minutes later.
The away win see Kwara United extend their unbeaten run to seven games and go into second place in the NPFL table.
Abdullahi Shehu – Omonia Nicosia
Super Eagles right-back was instrumental as Omonia Nicosia beat Doxa Katokopia 3-0 in Cyprus First Division encounter at Makario Stadium.
Shehu featured in the entire duration as he was shown a yellow card in the 57th minutes with Omonia Nicosia one-point adrift joint league leaders Apollon Limassol and AEL Limassol.
David Philip – Akwa United
David Philip has superlative performance in Akwa United emphatic 3-0 victory over Katsina United on match-day nine of the 2020-2021 NPFL at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

The 23-year-old Nigerian defender narrowly headed over from eight yards out as neither side could make the breakthrough.
Fulham have now not won in 14 matches in all competitions, since a 2-1 victory at Leicester City on 30 November in the relegation zone.
Bamidele Yusuf – Spartak Trnava
Jazzy Stars product continued his progress in the Slovakian Super Liga with another wonderful performance for Spartak Trnava on Saturday.
Yusuf who played at the right-hand side of attack got the third goal for Spartak Trnava. The visitors won 4-2 against Zlate Moravce at Stadion FC Vion.
James Igbekeme – Real Zaragoza
The midfielder scored his second goal of the season to help Real Zaragoza win 2-1 at Malaga to ease their relegation worries in the Spanish Segunda Division.
He has thus far made 13 league appearances.
Paul Mukairu – Anderlecht
Mukairu played an important role as Anderlecht beat KRC Genk 1-0 at Lotto Park on Friday night.

Iyayi Atiemwen – Dinamo Zagreb

Super Eagles winger Olayinka managed just four league goals last term as Slavia romped to their sixth championship crown.
Dickson Abiama – Greuther Fuerth
Nigerian striker scored and provided an assist for Bundesliga promotion chasers Greuther Fuerth who trounced Wuerzburger 4-1 in the German second division fixture on Sunday.
Abiama scored in the 28th minute to make it 1-1 then set up the second goal on 50 minutes.
The 21-year-old has now scored three goals in 16 league appearance so far this season. He scored two goals in the DFB-Pokal.
