Enyimba International may fail yet again in their quest to make it to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

The country’s sole representative were condemned to a heavy 3-0 defeat in their first-leg play-off tie against Al Merikh on Wednesday.

The People’s Elephant disappointed many and themselves as they conceded two first-half goals and another in the second half.

The two-time African champions now have an arduous task ahead of them in their quest to make it to the money-spinning group stage of the continent’s flagship club competition.

Saif Terry was the pain in the ass of Enyimba; scoring all the three goals in Wednesday’s encounter in Omdurman.

Saif was on target in the 6th, 44th, and 90th minutes.

Fatai Osho’s men now have to work extra hard to turn the tables against their Sudanese foes in the second leg billed for Aba in a fortnight.
