Lionel Messi has breaks Pele’s record as Barcelona beat Real Valladolid  3-0 in the La Liga encounter at Estadio Jose Zorrilla on Tuesday night.

Clement Lenglet opened the scoring before Martin Braithwaite doubled their lead.

Messi then put the icing on the cake with the third, breaking Pele’s record for goals scored for one club in the process.

The Blaugrana sit fifth despite Sevilla’s earlier victory this evening and eight behind league leaders Atletico Madrid.
