Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reacted after ending goal drought as 10-man Arsenal cling on for a draw against Southampton in the Premier League encounter at Emirate Stadium.

The Gunners’ recent problems deepened when Theo Walcott opened the scoring in the 18th minute to give Southampton the lead against his former club after delightful dink over onrushing goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

But Aubameyang finished smartly after the break to level as Arsenal ended a run of 797 minutes in the Premier League without a goal from open play.

However, the Gunners’ ill-discipline cost them once again as Gabriel was sent off after being booked twice in four minutes.

Both sides hit the woodwork late on, Saints through substitute Nathan Redmond and Arsenal through a superb Rob Holding header.

The result ended a run of four straight home league defeats for Arsenal, but two more dropped points and another red card will do little to ease the pressure on Mikel Arteta.
