Victor Osimhen may have played his last game for the year 2020 as the latest incoming reports suggest that the striker’s dislocated shoulder is proving harder to heal than earlier anticipated.
According to Naples-based newspaper, Il Mattino, the probability of Osimhen making his comeback against Torino on December 23 is virtually impossible.
It is understood that the former Lille star has revealed that he will not be able to make his return this year as the pain persists.
The fresh tests carried out on Osimhen showed that there is still some neuromotor problem preventing him from making a return to action this year.
Osimhen has been missing in action since the unfortunate injury while in action for the Super Eagles.
With this latest development, the 21-year old who is Napoli’s record signing is expected to be omitted further from the matchday squads in upcoming Serie A matches with Sampdoria, Inter Milan, Lazio, and Torino.
Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso is hoping to have Osimhen ready for the first game of 2021 against Cagliari on January 3.
