Real Madrid are looking to re-sign Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur as replacement for Brazilian left-back Marcelo, according to Bernabeu Digital.
The Spanish star has been a massive success so far for Jose Mourinho’s side, making a total of 11 appearances in all competitions. Real Madrid agreed a £41m buy-back clause in the deal that took him to the North London club.
The reports claim Los Blancos are already giving thought to activating that option during the summer transfer window as Marcelo is already being benched by Mendy and Zinedine Zidane is looking at reinforcement in that left-back role.
Real Madrid would need to sell players to accommodate Reguilon’s return, the La Liga champions require a long-term stability in that left-back position and Reguilon, a former Los Blancos star is top priority.
Reguilon played on loan at Sevilla last season and helped the Spaniard to win the Europa League before his sale to Tottenham Hotspur.
