Another Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka on target in Slavia Prague’s 3-1 away win over Nice in the Europa League encounter.
The 25-year-old Super Eagles forward made his third appearance in the European competition this season and impressed to help his side secure an away victory at Allianz Riviera.
Ondrej Lingr opened the scoring for Slavia Prague inside the opening 15th minutes, but Amine Gouir level it up for Patrick Vierra’s Nice in the 61st minutes.
Olayinka then restored the lead for the Red and Whites army three minutes later after heads Petr Sevcik corner kick into the middle of the net.
Abdallah Sima then sealed the victory with 15 minutes left to full-time while Nice star Hichem Boudaoui was sent off in the 90th minute after receiving his second booking.
The victory ensured Slavia Prague remain top of the Group with nine points same as Bayer Leverkusen, who have a better goal difference, but the Czech Republic side have a better head-to-head record.
