Former Manchester United star, Ashley Young has tested positive for COVID-19, Inter Milan has announced.
Just before the end of the International break, the Nerazzurri confirmed another case of coronavirus in the squad ahead of the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan on October 17.
“FC Internazionale Milano announce that Ashley Young tested positive for COVID-19 following the tests carried out yesterday at Appiano Gentile,” the statement read. “The English player is already in quarantine at home.”
The former England international joined Inter from Manchester United in January and is the sixth player to test positive ahead of the Milan derby.
Inter manager, Antonio Conte has his hands full as Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar, Radja Nainggolan, Roberto Gagliardini and Ionut Radu are already on the list of absentees with COVID-19.
