Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenekaro Etebo has been given a clean bill of health after the injured star has been diagnosed and treated for a mild strain on his left groin.
Fanatik reported on Tuesday that the former Getafe midfielder had visited team doctors after he cropped up the injury during Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Kasimpasa.
He was then treated and told to rest for a week to avoid further complications.
In a statement released by Galatasaray, Etebo is expected back in action after the International break barring any last minutes hitches.
“After the Kasımpaşa match, one of our players, Peter Etebo, had a mild strain on the right adductor (groin) muscle, while Taylan also had a strain on his left groin muscle.
” Etebo will be sidelined for one week while Taylan will sit it for two weeks. Both players have been treated,” Gala said in a statement.
Etebo was eagerly expected at Super eagles camp in Austria on Monday, but the hardworking midfielder had informed NFF of his recent injury.
Galatasaray signed the Super Eagles midfielder maestro on a season-long loan deal from English Championship side Stoke City after Getafe declined to extend his six months loan spell at the club.
Etebo is under contract with Stoke City until 2023.
