Though many are more concerned with Manchester United fixing their immediate problem with their first-team squad, the club is doing some smart business as far as their Academy is concerned and they have signed two new strikers.
As reported by The Mirror, United have confirmed the signings of Charlie McNeill and Alejandro Garnacho as the teenage strikers join the club’s academy.
McNeill is making the switch from Manchester City where he built up an incredible reputation for scoring goals.
The 17-year-old announced his decision to leave City in June and a deal has taken some time to do, with haggling over a compensation fee, but it has now been completed.
On the other hand, Garnacho arrives at Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid, with a deal for the 16-year-old agreed last month but the club finally confirming the move this week.
Lately, Manchester United have been intensifying efforts to bring in young players from Spain and Garnacho is the third to arrive at the club this summer.
