Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman start his La Liga campaign with a 4-0 win over Villarreal at the Camp Nou on Sunday evening.
Barcelona dismantled Villarreal with Ansu Fati the main man for the Blaugrana, the attacker scored a brace in the 4-0 win over the Yellow Submarine.
The young lad got the ball rolling with a double in five minutes before he won a penalty that was converted by captain Lionel Messi who showed no signs of slowing down.
Unai Emery’s men were more defensive in the second half, with Barca consequentially having a little less freedom in the final third, but Villarreal’s slight improvement had no impact on what was an easy start for Koeman in LaLiga.
Fate was substituted with 20 minutes left, with Pedri introduced to make his La Liga debut alongside Miralem Pjanic and Francisco Trinaco, with the young Portuguese midfielder almost adding the fifth goal.
Up next for Barcelona is the clash against Celta Vigo on Thursday at the Balaidios stadium.
