The Brazilian defender mistimed the ball wrongly, which fell to the path of a West Brom player and the rest was a story, though he tried to make up for his error, but the ball was already at the back of the net.

The 36-year-old defender is expected to bring solidity to the defence line.
Lampard told “To come here and make mistakes, which we knew they would capitalise on and also at set-pieces, you can’t legislate for pure mistakes.

“We showed character and resilience, but we would not need to have done if we did things properly in the game.

“We will get better and today was part of the process in that – but we lost two points.”
Silva is targeting a place in the Brazilian squad or the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, spent eight years at the Parc des Princes.
