Unimpressed by Fulham 4-3 loss to Leeds United on Saturday, Fulham manager, Scott Parker is already toying with the idea of playing Ola Aina as a centre back.
Fulham’s fightback fell short as the Londoners fought back from 4-1 down to pull back two goals in a seven-goal thriller, but it was Leeds United who picked their first win in the Premier League.
Aina watched from the stands as Fulham back four fell like a pack of cards and Parker has declared his readiness to deploy the Nigerian to the centre back to pair Cyrus Christie in a bid to stop the rot.
“Ola was playing in a back three for Torino last season and he can also play as a left-back.
“They have qualities, and both can do well and be in the same side,” he said
The manager also revealed that he is looking to strengthen the centre of defence, where Aina could get his chance,
Aina joined Fulham on loan from Torino with an option to buy. He was instrumental to Torino’s relegation survival last season; a feat that attracted him to different suitors in the Premier League
