Barcelona announced the exit of the 20-year-old defender on their official handles.

Cuenca has been on the fringes of the first team without managing to make the breakthrough and will now seek a fresh challenge with the Yellow Submarine.
Villarreal will pay €2.5 million plus €4m in variables. The deal also includes a buyback clause and Barca will earn 20 percent of any future sale.
Cuenca has been at the Camp Nou since 2017, making 65 appearances for Barcelona B. He made his debut for the first team in a 1-0 Copa del Rey win over Cultural Leonesa.
It is expected that when Chukwueze and the rest of the forwards are gunning for goals Cuenca would form a formidable partnership at the backline to help Villarreal from shipping in goals
