Hard as nail erstwhile Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje has described Ola Aina’s impending return to England as a breath of fresh air for both the youngster and Fulham FC.
In an exclusive chat with FCNaija on Tuesday morning, the former Portsmouth strong man lauded the planned move and stated clearly that playing in England will go along way to help reshape Aina’s game in no time.
The former Skoda Xanthi posited that the arrival of Torino topman will go along way to help propel Fulham FC to greater heights this season and most importantly help the club retain its status in English football top-flight for a long time to come.
“It is great to see Ola Aina back in London and back to the Premier League arguably the best league in the world.
” He has been consistent for the past couple of season so it is a very good move for him and Fulham football club, hopefully he has a good season. I wish him good luck,” Sam Sodje said.
The former Chelsea defender looks set to move to Craven Cottage on an initial loan deal, with an option to buy him next summer for around €12.5m.
Following an impressing debut year in Serie A, Torino opted to sign Aina permanently for a fee of around £9 million last summer.
The right-back has enjoyed an impressive couple of years in Italy. He has been an ever-present for Torino, where he made 69 appearances in all competitions.
