Turkish giants Fenerbahce are set to finalize Samuel Kalu free loan deal from Bordeaux with an option to buy, Fanatik can report.
The latest report on TRT Spor revealed that the Turkish outfit are willing to sign on the Nigerian with immediate effect after losing some of its key players in the transfer windows to arch-rival Galatasaray.
Samuel Kalu became surplus to requirements at Bordeaux playing a handful of matches last season and his chance of picking up starting shirt looks bleak with the arrival of new players.
But with Super Eagles’ manager Gernot warning his players to get busy in the transfer windows and join clubs that will guarantee regular football, Kalu had suggested a loan deal elsewhere in Europe.
TRT Spor revealed that negotiations are in advance stage with the Super Eagles winger set to travel down to Turkey in the coming days.
Kalu joined Bordeaux from Belgian Pro League club KAA Gent in 2018 but has not had the best of times at the club with lots of family issues forming a distraction to the progress of the young lad.
The club also feels the €8m fee spent on him has been a waste of resources.
The 23-year-old scored just once in 20 league appearances for Les Girondins last season
