According to La Liga analyst Brazilian superstar Neymar should’ve stay with Barcelona and winning the UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich tonight won’t justify his departure from the Catalan giants.
The Brazilian became the world’s most expensive player when he moved to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for €220 million (£198m/$260m) in 2017 and determined to lead the team to glory.
“PSG have their best chance ever to win the European Cup,” Minto told Goal speaking at Hotels.com Dream Screen. “But would it justify Neymar’s decision to move to PSG? I would still say no.
“I still think Barcelona would have won more Champions Leagues and he would have won more Champions Leagues had he remained in a front three alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. I think that was the best front three in the history of football, so it is a shame he left.”
Neymar has won eight domestic honours in France since he moved to PSG and a win tonight in the Champions League will be the first for the French side in history.
