Barcelona is set for a major squad overhaul under Koeman following the 8-2 in the Champions League quarter-final defeat to Bayern Munich.

The report in Le 10 Sport reports that Van de Beek could be one of the players to come in as part of that overhaul, with Koeman knowing the midfielder well from his time as Netherlands boss.

Van de Beek has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus but the coronavirus outbreak has slowed down financial deals across some major clubs in Europe, Real Madrid might not carry out any major signing this summer as they aim to reduce the squad size and sell more players.

Van de Beek is open to any deal from the top clubs in Europe as he is prepared to face new challenges in the coming season.
