The report in Sport says the board has agreed to offer Koeman the job, the former Barcelona defender was seen at the Catalonia city on Sunday and it’s now emerged a contract is close to being settled.

It has been reported that the former Barcelona captain would be offered a two-year contract, though the second year will be determined by the presidential election. A release from the Dutch FA is expected to be a formality.

Mauricio Pochettino was also linked with the job but certain members of the board were against the appointment of the former Tottenham Hotspur manager and that leaves Koeman’s as the favourite for the job.
