Napoli is set to rival Chelsea to land Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon, according to report.
The Series A side has received positive signals from the agent of the Reguilon but Real Madrid’s demands are an obstacle for the Serie A giants.
The defender is currently on loan at Sevilla and they are still much alive in the Europa League semi-final clash against Manchester United on Sunday in Cologne.
Reguilon’s future at Real Madrid has attracted lots of speculations, with several clubs keen on signing the full-back from Real Madrid this summer.
Arsenal is also monitoring the defender and he has been linked with Napoli as well and according to Italian daily Corriere Dello Sport, Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli held talks with the player’s representatives over a potential deal.
Real Madrid’s demands could prevent Napoli from securing the services of the Spanish defender, Real Madrid has rejected an offer of a loan deal with an option to buy and the Spanish giants want the fee to be €25m if the Serie A giants are prepared to include a mandatory purchase clause.
