Lionel Messi was flattened by Napoli defender Khalidou Koulibaly in their Champions League return leg clash on Saturday at the Camp Nou.
The Barcelona captain was down for several minutes while receiving treatment and Luis Suarez took on the penalty duties and scored the resulting penalty from the foul against Messi.

Quique Setien’s team was lucky to have their talisman back as the injury isn’t serious as it appeared to be, according to sources from the Barcelona camp.
Messi was severely hit as the Senegalese defender attempted to send the ball away from his box before the Argentine forward stole the ball from behind and he was seriously hurt in the process.
The source further claimed that there are no planned medical tests and it’s thought that applying ice and basic care will be enough to reduce the swelling.
Messi would be available for the clash against Bayern Munich on Friday in the quarter-final stage of the competition.
