Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun will be a hit with Scottish side Rangers, according to Sone Aluko.
The 32-year-old, who played on loan at Wigan before joining the Gers on a one-year deal with an option for a further year. He is expected to act as cover for Nikola Katic, who is out for a longterm due to a wicked knee injury.
An obviously excited Balogun tweeted on Saturday: “Hello Gers! I’m delighted and very proud to have signed for this amazing club – looking forward to getting to work and honouring that shirt.”
Sone Aluko, who played for Rangers during the 2011/12 season replied the tweet with a very reassuring message for Gers fans and the player: “All the best bro! I’m sure you’ll be a hit.”
Balogun has represented Nigeria 32 times and was part of the team to the 2018 FIFA World Cup and also the bronze winning side at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
