Erstwhile Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses believe Inter are still within an open chance of clinching the Scudetto at the expense of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus.
The Old Lady lead the log with 77 points from 33 matches while Inter are second on the table with 71 points, but the former Chelsea winger believes the battle to clinch this season’s diadem will likely go to the wire.
In an exclusive interview with Intertv, Moses said Inter is not giving up on his quest to supplant Ronaldo and his Juve teammates, adding that Inter are determined to fight till death with five matches left to play for.
“I am happy to be available again, I feel very good. I have been out of three games, I really want to play and I am very happy to to be here.
” If our goal is to chase Juve until the end we are ready, there are still five matches and we will always fight.
” We have a good squad and blessed with excellent players. Everything is possible, but we must remain united. We will have to fight, but we know what we have to do, he told Intertv on Thursday night.
Moses watched from the stands as Inter Milan claimed a comfortable away victory on Thursday, as they beat relegation-threatened SPAL 4-0 with four players on target.
With hitman Romelu Lukaku still injured, Inter’s coach Antonio Conte kept faith in Alexis Sanchez to partner Lautaro Martinez, while Andrea Ranocchia was preferred in defense over Stefan de Vrij.
The away side took control of possession from the beginning but didn’t find the net until the 37th minute with good teamwork when Sanchez’s smart pass found an unmarked Antonio Candreva who beat the goalkeeper with a low strike.
