Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua resign veteran Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins to replace Odion Ighalo who is currently on loan at Manchester United.
The 35-year-old former Super Eagle striker joined the Choi Kang-hee men as a free agent for the second spell after playing for them between 2016 and 2018.
Martins last featured in a competitive game after he suffered a partial rupture of the tendon of at his right knee during the fifth group stage match of AFC Champions League against Kashima Antlers on 3 April 2018.

Martins scored 32 goals in 59 games across all competitions during his previous spell for the Chinese heavyweights.
Shenhua will open the delayed Chinese Super League season on July 25 against Fabio Cannavaro’s reigning champions Guangzhou Evergrande and Martins could make his second debut.
