Real Madrid defeated Granada 2-1 at the Carmenes Stadium on Monday evening as Zinedine Zidane’s men are at a touching distance to the La Liga title after nine their ninth consecutive game since the La Liga return.

Real Madrid announced their presence at the Los Carmenes Stadium with a 10 minutes strike from Ferland Mendy who was released by Casemiro in the far left and the Frenchman outpaced two Granada defenders before blasting it to the top of the roof of the post and in the 16th minute, it was Luka Modric that provided an assist for Karim Benzema who cut back from the left and shot the ball to the right angle of the post to give Real Madrid a 2-0 advantage in the 16th minute of the game.

Granada called Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtious into action as the Belgian shot-stopper made a full stretch to ensure he prevented the home team from scoring a goal.
Real Madrid dominated the game with ball possession in their favour and the game was highly controlled by Zinedine Zidane’s men in the first half.

Granada pulled one back in the second half to make it 2-1 in the early minute of the second half as the home team piled pressure on Real Madrid.

Courtious was up to the challenge again and Sergio Ramos cleared a ball off the line to ensure Real Madrid hold their slim lead as Granda pushed Real Madrid to the limit in the second half of the game.
