Impressed with the possibility of having his African brother around, Teranga Lions of Senegal and Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly has assured Victor Osimhen of a safe haven should he sign for the Naples side.
In an exclusive chat with La Gazzetta Dello Sport on Saturday, the towering defender disclosed that he advised the Nigerian striker that he would have no regrets coming to Napoli.
The defender admitted that he had an intimate discussion with Osimhen and urge him to sign the dotted line rather than chicken out of the deal on the ground of racism.
“It is true that he called me. We talked about racism, I told him he won’t have these problems coming to Naples and that he has chosen the right city.
” I too felt the bitterness of the racist insult, but never in Naples. I reassured him, I told him that if he joins Napoli, he would have taken the right step. Then, the rest will depend on the club management,” Koulibaly said.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has told Napoli chief that he would need 7-10 days to make up his mind on his future.
Interestingly, Napoli has assured the Lille striker that he won’t be pressured into deciding his future while the club hopes he signs for them.
