Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been pictured in Naples, Italy with his agents ahead of scheduled talks with Serie A side Napoli.
Osimhen has been the subject of transfer speculations in the past weeks and despite his earlier denial, the lethal striker seems almost set for a stint in the Italian top flight.
Osimhen arrived in Italy on Tuesday morning with his agents for showdown talks.
The young striker according to several reports will be given a five-year contract, which is now believed to be worth 85 million Euros.
Napoli coach Gennaro Gatusso has insisted Osimhen is his No 1 target to replace Poland striker Arkadiusk Milik, who is set to quit the club this summer.
Milik has been linked with a move Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
Though he is already in Italy, there are reports suggesting that Chelsea may hijack Osimhen from Napoli as the striker is known to be more favourably disposed to a move to England rather than Italy.
Osimhen 21, scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 38 games across all competitions for Lille during the 2019/2020 campaign.
He was also voted the club’s player of the year before he was named the Best African Player In Ligue 1 for the year 2020.
Osimhen has since dedicated his latest award to his dad who was buried recently.
