Chelsea is prepared to explore an advantage over Manchester City in the race to sign a left-back, the current Premier League Champions could face a ban in the Champions League for two seasons and the Blues are ready to work on such advantage when both clubs go toe to toe for Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell.
If Manchester City lose its appeal, they are without top-level European football for two years. And in that case, Chilwell would prefer a move to Stamford.
Though Leicester City is not willing to part ways with their left-back, but a huge money offer will force the Foxes directors to sale.
The report in Evening Standard reports that Manchester City is also interested but the Blues remain in the pole position to land the England star.
Manager Frank Lampard is prepared to move on Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri this summer and he is keen on signing a left-back and many names have been linked a move to Chelsea.
