Real Madrid target Eduardo Camavinga wants a switch to Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
President Florentino Perez is keen on signing the Rennes midfielder at the end of the season.
Though it now looks they will have to wait another year to sign the midfielder because of the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, which forced Real Madrid to reconsider their plans and stay put in the market trying to save money.
The likes of Paris Saint-Germain or Juventus but the midfielder has now decided that he wants to play for Madrid, according to a report from AS. The Spanish newspaper is quoting sources “within Camavinga’s inner circle” saying that he “loves Zidane and Real Madrid.”
It seems that the midfielder will now stay in his club for another season. He will play in the Champions League after Stade Rennes secured their presence in the European competition and then Madrid could try to complete his signing a year from now.
Camavinga’s current contract with Stade Rennais expires in 2022 and that would force the club to sell the midfielder in the summer of 2021 if they don’t want to lose him for free, although Madrid could be facing some serious competition for Camavinga if he keeps performing at a high level.
