Barcelona is prepared to go all out to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and the La Liga giants have raised the bar beyond the reach of the Serie A club.
Barcelona is set to offer a sum of €10 million gross per season to the Argentine forward a valuation Inter Milan deem too high to meet.
Inter Milan is unwilling to let go of the Argentine attacker but cannot match Barcelona’s offer for the former Racing Club striker, this is according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
Though Barcelona still have a long way to go as the La Liga outfit is yet to agree on a term with Inter Milan who is not backing down on their valuation of €111m for the Argentine attacker.
Martinez has a release clause of €111m euro, Barcelona is keen on paying 60m euros and include some players in the deal but at this point, Inter Milan is holding for outright cash transaction with no player swap or included in the deal.
The €10 million gross per season does not put Martinez in the bracket of Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal as they all earn higher salaries than what the Argentine attacker is being offered.
