Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has reacted after winning her first league title in Europe following the declaration of Barcelona Femeni as the champions of the 2019/2020 Primera División Femenina season.

The 25-year Nigeria international was sensational during the course of the concluded campaign where she scored 20 goals in 19 appearances to celebrate her first league title in Europe with Barcelona, after previous near misses with Liverpool and Arsenal in England.

Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) decided to call off the non-professional football season in Spain, a move which automatically handed table-topping Barcelona Femeni the title.

Thus, 2015 BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year is elated due to the outcome of her season, taking to Twitter to congratulate her teammates, the team’s technical crew as well as her fans.

Oshoala initially joined the Spanish giants on loan from Chinese club Dalian Quanjian before penning a three-year contract keeping her at the Blaugranes until the end of the 2021-2022 campaign.
