Barcelona manager Quique Setien has placed priority in the signing of Inter Milan attacker Lautaro Martinez over the signing of Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar.
Setien is of the view that Neymar’s valuation is too high for any club to meet and he is keen on working with Inter Milan attacker Martinez in the next season.
When about Lautaro, Setien declared: “Lautaro is a great player and Barcelona is always interested in great players.”
On Neymar, he also told Gazzetta dello Sport: “€222m for him? No.
“I don’t think anyone can spend that much. Small clubs are currently suffocating. Many of them lived to the limit and at the first serious shock, they went into crisis. Football has lived at an uncontrolled pace.”
Barcelona has the necessary fund to sign the two players at the end of the season.
Paris Saint-Germain has been declared the Champions of Ligue 1 and La Liga president Javier Tebas has hinted that Liga action could resume in June in a bid to ascertain the winner of the league and determine the Champions League qualifying teams.
