Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign Manchester United transfer target Diego Godin for the second time during the summer window.
The 34-year-old Uruguay international only joined Inter from Spanish capital club Atletico Madrid last summer and has made 25 appearances for Nerazzurri during the 2019-20 campaign.
There have been suggestions that the Godin could be allowed to leave San Siro ahead of next season, though, and Manchester United are thought to be interested in his services for the second time after the Portuguese coach try bring him to Old Trafford back then.
According to The Express claim that Spurs are also keen on a summer deal for the South American center-back.
The report claims that Inter boss Antonio Conte now wants to keep Godin having initially deemed him surplus to requirements, but former Chelsea and Porto coach Mourinho is still determined to bring the experienced defender to North London.
Godin’s current deal at San Siro will expire in the summer of 2022.
