Colombia playmaker James Rodriguez set to snub a move to Arsenal to reunite with former head coach at Everton this summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old Colombia international has struggled for game time under Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane after restricted to just 13 appearances during the 2019-20 campaign and is widely expected to leave Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
Arsenal were thought to be at the head of the queue for the versatile attacker.
However, according to Marca, the South American could snub a switch to the Emirates Stadium in order to join up with former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti at Everton.
The Italian coach managed Rodriguez for one season with the dethroned Champions League holder, while it is thought that the experienced head coach tried to bring ex- AS Monaco and Porto playmaker to Napoli last summer.
Everton have also been linked with an ambitious move for Gareth Bale to return to the Premier League after first played for Southampton and Tottenham Hotspurs.
