Manchester United is set to beat Real Madrid to the signing of attacking midfielder Donny van de Beek after the Red Devils plans for midfield reshuffle.
The report in Marca says that the Old Trafford outfit is trying to outbid Real Madrid to the deal with. The Dutch star is expected to move to the Spanish capital in the summer but Real Madrid was unable to offload Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez and he was told to remain with the Dutch Champions for another season.
Manchester United would only be successful in pricing away Van de beer if Real Madrid renounced their pre-agreement with Ajax.
De Beer has been sensational for the Lanciers having scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists this season, proving that last year was no fluke.
Manchester United is aware that bit would be difficult to sign the attacking midfielder due to the long-standing pre-agreement with Los Merengues but would still go-ahead to give it a trial and see if they could explore other possibilities in bringing the Dutch international to Old Trafford.
