Arsenal star Lucas Torreira could miss the remainder of the season after the midfielder suffered an ankle injury and could face 10 weeks out of action.
The Uruguayan was forced off during the clash against Portsmouth in the FA Cup last week and has suffered a fracture in his ankle and could be out for two to three months
A statement on the club’s website read: ‘Right ankle.
Sustained fracture to the right ankle during Portsmouth (a) on March 2. ‘Still receiving continual assessments. Recovery process expected to take between eight to ten weeks.’
Arsenal on-loan signing from Southampton Cedric Soares is prepared to return to full training with the rest of the team.
Sead Kolasinac is set to return by the end of the month, while Shkodran Mustafi is being assessed ahead of the clash with Manchester City on Wednesday.
While Calum Chambers remains a long-term absentee after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.
