Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has broken a two-year record at Real Madrid after he was named La Liga player of the Month of January ahead of Lionel Messi, Luka Modric, Martin Odeengard and Sergio Ramos to an award.
Courtois is the first Real Madrid player to win this award this season despite Real Madrid consistency in the past months.
Courtois conceded just one goal in the entire month and helping Real Madrid to win three games in the process.
The Belgian shot-stopper is also the first goalkeeper to win this award since the 2013/14 season, when Keylor Navas did whilst at Levante.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the last player to received the award in May 2017.
The award will be presented to Courtois on Sunday when Real Madrid host Celta Vigo on at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The past winners this season have been Martin Odegaard (September), Karl Toko Ekambi (October), Lionel Messi (November) and Luis Suarez (December).
