Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has reacted after Nigerians of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Burna Boy made a wave in the United State of America.

The 30-year-old Brighton & Hove Albion center-back was an unused substitute as Gernot Rohr began their 2019 African Cup of Nations campaign with a 1-0 win over tournament debutants Burundi in Group B last Saturday at Alexandria Stadium.

The German tactician started Udinese's William Troost-Ekong and Chelsea's Kenneth Omeruo in the center-half positions ahead of Balogun for the 32nd edition but former Bundesliga star delighted with the two Nigerian superstar achievement over the last one year after winning NBA Most Valuable Player and BET Best International Act.

Balogun tweeted on his official handle saying: Nigerian excellence to the world!!! Congrats on your achievements @Giannis_An34 MVP & @burnaboy BET Best International Act 🇳🇬🙌🏽.

Super Eagles now face Guinea on Wednesday at Alexandria Stadium.
