Alexis Sanchez has moved closer to the exit door at Arsenal after he agreed personal terms with premier league rivals Manchester City ahead of a move to the Etihad this summer.

The 28-year-old reportedly told Arsene Wenger that he wants to reunite with former manager, Pep Guardiola despite the Frenchman insisting that he won’t sell his star man to a rival.

According to a Portuguese media outlet O Jogo, Sanchez who snubbed a £300,000 per-week deal at Arsenal recently spoke with Pep Guardiola and agreed personal terms with City and it is now left for Arsenal to accept the deal valued at £50 million.

‘Not playing in the Champions League is a big deal for Alexis, he is motivated to participate and win it,’ a source close to Sanchez told El Mercurio.

‘Alexis spoke to his team-mates in Russia about the subject, he has spoken with his family as well.

‘All of them came to the same conclusion – it is best for him to end his journey with Arsenal and join City.

‘Alexis is not willing for that, for any reason, [to stay at Arsenal] his idea is to leave in this moment.’

Sanchez has just a year remaining on his Arsenal contract and the Gunners’ may lose him for free next summer if they refuse to cash in on him now.
