Real Madrid has made their first bid for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, as the Los Blancos directors proposed a swap deal for the World Cup-winning star.
Real Madrid has proposed a swap deal involving James Rodriguez and some cash as they aim to land the former Leicester City star. The La Liga giant is keen on offering £86m swoop for Kante which would also involve Rodriguez heading in the opposite direction.
James was previously loaned to Bayern Munich for a two year-loan and he has seen his stock rise again after making his way back into Zinedine Zidane's first-team plans at the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to El Desmarque, Chelsea is showing fresh interest in the Colombian having previously courted the idea of signing him before he went to Bayern Munich.
Kante is one Zidane’s favourites, and he aims to provide competition for Casemiro in the heart of the midfield with the signing of Kante, Real Madrid aimed to offload the Colombian with several other players but the former Porto and Monaco worked his way back into the starting XI but the Bernabeu directors are still keen on selling him, Atletico Madrid was in contact with his representatives but the injury to Marco Asensio, which ruled him out of the whole season halted the deal.
Real Madrid is set to do business with Chelsea next summer as the Blues are still under a transfer embargo that will cover the January transfer window.
